Brave Search MCP Server (Fork)

This is a fork of the Brave Search MCP server, originally part of the modelcontextprotocol/servers repository. The Brave Search MCP server provides tools for performing web and local business searches using the Brave Search API, making it easy for LLMs and AI agents to access up-to-date web and local information.

Tools

• brave_web_search: Perform a general web search using the Brave Search API. Ideal for retrieving news, articles, and online content. Supports pagination and result count customization.
• brave_local_search: Search for local businesses and places using Brave's Local Search API. Returns detailed information such as business names, addresses, ratings, phone numbers, and opening hours. Automatically falls back to web search if no local results are found.

Requirements

• BRAVE_API_KEY: You must provide your Brave Search API key as a constant input (prefixed with an underscore) to use these tools.
